Spanish Motorbike Tours

This 5 day route is perfect for discovering the diversity and beauty of the Catalan countryside. This tour also crosses the borders with Valencia and Aragon.

Each day will involve a stop at a restaurant for lunch and at least 2 short refreshments stops.

You can check-in to your accommodation in Flix, Catalunya, after 1600. You can then explore the imediate area at your leisure and enjoy an evening meal before relaxing in readiness for the start of your tour.

Day 1

A nice start to the tour taking in some gentle roads through Spain's inland farming areas in the morning, followed by an afternoon of sweeping roads through the wine producing region. We will take in some sleepy villages before returning to your accommodation for the night.

Day 2

This is quite a long day covering over 400km in and around the lakes and rivers of the low Pyrenees. This route is a favourite of mine as it can be ridden all year round and the views are incredible. Out of season, it feels as though we are the only people on the roads.

Day 3

Today is a slower paced day, taking in one of the national parks that are situated in one of the mountainous regions. We ride in a figure 8 pattern, taking in several villages and many viewpoints, some with views out to the Mediterranean sea.

Day 4

This is a coastal day which starts with us crossing the mountains towards the sea. We will then work our way down the old coastal road passing through old fishing villages and towns which have not been dominated by high-rise apartment blocks. If you want an afternoon on the beach (weather dependent), bring your towel and suncream.

Day 5

This is another long day, climbing up through a national park to Andorra (don't forget your passport) where we will stop for lunch. After lunch, we will work our way back down from the mountains following the river and lakes before crossing the plains and returning to your accommodation for your final night.

Price

The 5 days guiding will cost €500 +IVA (21%) and covers groups of up to 4 bikes.  Larger groups (from 5 to 7 bikes) will cost €800+IVA (21%) as from experience it needs a second and equally competent guide following the group to ensure everyone stays together. This price covers the guiding only. You need to pay for your own fuel, food, drink and accommodation (see below).  Both myself and the second guide have bike to bike intercoms so we can adjust the speed and route where necessary. Our bikes are also fitted with cameras to capture each days riding, and the edited footage will be available for you to download.

Your accommodation will be in one of two self-contained 2 bedroom cottages and includes dinner, bed and breakfast for 6 nights, costing €45 per person per night (€270 per person for 6 nights D,B&B). One cottage sleeps 3 adults, the other sleeps 4 adults, and both have good access and bike parking.

Total price for the guided tour and accommodation based on 2 riders is €1145

Total price for the guided tour and accommodation based on 4 riders is €1685
